Now in its 16th year, Future Lions, AKQA’s annual Cannes Lions competition to unearth the next generation of creative talent, has announced the winners and Grand Prize.
The awards ceremony takes place during the iconic Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This year’s Grand Prix winner is Ten Week Tee, the team will now work with Gymshark and AKQA to bring their idea to life. Miami Ad School was named School of the Year for most shortlisted submissions.
The competition of the year, in collaboration with its partners Gymshark and TikTok, encourages young people aged 18 to 25 to go further together. Participants were tasked with showing how we can empower people to unite the fitness community and overcome the barriers they face, to create a healthier life for themselves.
This year’s winners presented the following concepts:
- Ten weeks t-shirt
Ten Week Tee, is an analog product for a digital world with fitness instructions printed on your clothes that fade over time as you use and wash your gym kit, allowing users to feel more confident to train for the first time. Team: Nicolas Lindberg, Anna Zetterlund, Claes Holm, Fabian Luthander

The Tank is a TikTok smart filter that pairs you with a virtual trainer with a body type similar to yours who improves as you do it without being confronted with unrealistic body image ideals. Team: Jimmy Marcheso, Tony Wong, Ted Masterson

Sharkwaves is a wearable that allows people who are deaf to experience music-based workouts through the vibrations of their wearables in real time. Team: Seth Low, Keith Samson, Athena Tan Jiaxin

The exclusive Future Lions Seminar is free here from June 22 at 11:00 a.m. CET and will take place live at WPP Beach on Wednesday June 22 at 11:00 a.m. CET.
