As Spiderman learns, with great power comes great responsibility. And so, “Disney Junior Live on Tour: Costume Palooza,” finds Spidey, in his first appearance with Disney, doing his best to save the costume party that Mickey, Minnie, and their pals plan to throw. Also around for fun are Alice’s Alice’s Wonderland Bakery and friends of Puppy Buddies, Doc McStuffins and more Disney Junior favorites. The tour stops at the Palace Theater on October 11. CATCO reminds you that a good theater doesn’t just show up at your door in a completely finished form. Its New Works Festival for Young Audiences, scheduled for December 2-11 at the Columbus Performing Arts Center, offers a look at new and ongoing productions at three different stages of development. The festival is aimed at ages 7 and up, but it’s really for anyone willing to hang a little more disbelief upon entering the venue. Not to mention, you’ll get a glimpse of unfamiliar work that just might move or touch in the right way. Festival passes are $15 for students and $25 for adults. Individual performance tickets will also be available closer to the shows.
