Red River Revel 46 kicks off October 1 with fun and entertainment

Did you know that the Red River Revel Arts Festival was established in 1976 with a donation from the Shreveport Junior League? In fact, Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport was created for the Revel! For anyone who has taken a trip to Revel, you know what a gift this event is to our community. Research shows that exposure to the arts fuels positive skills and abilities that are valued by leaders and employers, such as perseverance, collaboration, creative thinking, problem solving, and motivation. Moreover, art, whatever the medium, makes our world more beautiful. In addition to bringing art to Ark-La-Tex, the Revel also celebrates our unique regional culture.

Whether it’s visual art, performance or music, the Revel has it and this year we think you’ll love some of our new attractions. The new attraction that excites me most personally are the new Revel wristbands that make the event free and the new shuttle service!
