Kelly Osbourne has revealed she is expecting a baby boy.
The 37-year-old TV personality has confirmed the gender of her unborn child – whose father is Slipknot’s Sid Wilson – as her father, music legend Ozzy Osbourne, struggles to keep the news a secret. is about to welcome a grandson.
She said: “I mean, he told everyone… my baby’s gender before I had the chance.”
His rocker father Black Sabbath – who, along with wife Sharon Osbourne, is already a grandparent to son Jack’s daughters Andy, seven, Pearl, 10, Minnie, four, and newborn Maple, born in July – did a “little song and dance” about her new grandson and has lots of plans for when he gets here.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’m just like, ‘Aww dad, come on. Like, come on, but I will say every day he does this little song and this little dance about his excitement, and he’s so excited let it be a boy. It’s the first – from me and my brother, it’s the first boy, so he’s like planning all these things.
Ozzy is also the grandfather of Isabelle, Kitty and Harry Hobbs, the children of Jessica, the daughter of his first wife Thelma Riley, and Elijah and Maia Osbourne, the two children of their son Louis.
Ozzy, 73, and Sharon, 69, were a rock for Kelly during her pregnancy as Sid toured a lot.
She added how her parents “have been amazing and have been with me every step of the way, because my boyfriend is in a band, they’re touring, so he’s hardly been here, so every step I took a little bit with my dad, and he’s been great, even though he sometimes says the wrong thing. I’ll walk into the room and he’ll be like, ‘Wow, you’re great.’ And I’m like, ‘Thank you, dad.’
The gender reveal comes after Kelly revealed last week that she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
The mum-to-be experienced symptoms of weight gain, fatigue and swollen ankles.
She said: “First of all, gestational diabetes is not your fault.
“At first I thought it was something I had done. I wasn’t diagnosed with it until my third trimester so it wasn’t like I had developed it because some people catch it from the start when they are pregnant.
“I had it in my third trimester and basically thought it was something I did wrong.”
Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar that occurs during pregnancy.
Kelly recently cut out sugar and started watching her carb intake.
The ‘One Word’ singer said, “This whole pregnancy, I haven’t had any cravings except for sugar, which I’ve never had before.
“For me, the first thing that I realized was getting me down was sugary drinks and that was juice. Because even though I was drinking freshly squeezed juice, there was still a lot more sugar in it than I needed. I needed.”
Kelly’s lifestyle changes have already had a visible impact on her health.
She said: “Overall my skin has cleared up. I don’t need to wear makeup.
“My friends who haven’t seen me since I started my third trimester, now that they see me, they’re like, ‘Whoa. What changed ? Your skin is perfect”, and I know sometimes it has to do with pregnancy, but I had pregnancy acne. I cut out the sugar and it completely disappeared. I think it’s more light.”
