Daytona Bandshell will explode with weekend concerts | Culture & Leisure

A tribute to boss Bruce Springsteen begins the 4th of July celebration at the Bandshell in Daytona Beach.

There will be four concerts, all beginning at 7:15 p.m., Friday through Monday at 70 Boardwalk, Daytona Beach.

Sounds of Summer concerts at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell, presented by the city’s Cultural Services Division, continue with The Boss Project, a tribute to Bruce Springsteen on Friday, July 1, and US Bee Gees, a tribute to the Bees Gees, Sunday, July 3.

The Daytona Beach Bandshell Summer 2022 Free Concert Series, presented by Boardwalk Merchants and Friends of the Bandshell, continues with The Boxers and Southern Cross, Simon & Garfunkel and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Tributes, Saturday, July 2 and The Alter Eagles, an Eagles tribute band, on Monday, July 4.

The eight-piece band Boss Project plays some of Bruce’s greatest hits including “Born To Run”, “Glory Days”, “Hungry Heart”, “Dancing In The Dark”, Born In The USA”, “Thunder Road” and “Jungleland.”

Todd and Greg Pitts of The Boxers bring back the timeless music and harmony of Simon & Garfunkel in a fantastic performance, including classics like ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Mrs. Robinson’ and ‘The Sounds of Silence’.

Southern Cross prides itself on providing impeccable vocal harmonies to recreate some of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s most difficult-to-perform vocal songs, such as the epic “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes”. Attendees can expect to hear legendary hits from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

The USA Bee Gees recreate the look, feel and sound of The Bee Gees, capturing the unique falsetto voices that make them one of the greatest bands in the world. Perform a complete Bee Gees story, including early hits, such as “To Love Somebody”, “Massachusetts”, “I Got to Get A Message”, disco and Saturday Night Fever favorites “Jive Talking”, “More Than A Woman”, “Night Fever”, “You Should Be Dancing”, “Nights on Broadway” and “Stayin’ Alive”.

The Bandshell will celebrate Independence Day with a fantastic star-studded summer concert featuring the Alter Eagles. After the concert, there will be a special July 4 fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean that will be synced to patriotic music played by 95.7 The Hog radio at 9:45 p.m.

No other Eagles Tribute Show has a Don Henley lookalike singing like him, and no other Eagles Tribute Show has a Glenn Frey clone on guitar and vocals. This is by far the most authentic depiction of the Eagles at their peak. The Alter Eagles play all the Eagles classics plus songs from new albums and solo careers. Attendees will hear hits like “Take It Easy”, “Witchy Woman”, “Already Gone”, “Tequila Sunrise” and “Hotel California”.
